The Big 2-0-0/Bring Me The Head Of Jonathan Demme

So this is post number 200.... Exciting no?

I can't believe it is now August. Damn it people where do the days go?!

I saw the new version of The Manchurian Candidate today with Been and Brian which was disappointing to say the least. What can I say? I'm a complete purist. The original version is 100 times better. I was intrigued since the review said a lot of the story was revised and changed but apparently it was at the expense of a quality movie. It's hard to describe but if you've seen the first one then you'll understand.

For some reason everything lacked the ferocity and intensity of the previous film. One of the things that I loved about the original was the tension, the "quiet desperation" that permeated the air. Not so this time around. This review sums up the rest. Boo Jonathan Demme. Boo indeed.
