Office Space

An Unprovoked Conversation I Unfortunately Overheard Today At Work:

Extremely Dumb Co-Worker: "Like, oh my god, guess what?"

Random Scary Co-Worker: "What?"

EDC-W: "You know how like, that movie, that famous movie, you know, that won a bunch of awards and stuff..." (Yes, apparently for her that constituted a complete, thought out sentence.)

RSC-W: "Huh?"

EDC-W: "You know...That movie! The rings movie!"

RSC-W: "You mean The Lord Of the Rings?"

EDC-W: "Yeah! That's it!"

RSC-W: "What about it?"

EDC-W: "Want to hear something funny?"

RSC-W: Obviously exhaling with resignation to his fate.

EDC-W: "You know how in one of them there are towers right? Well my friend and I used to think it was a movie about September 11th. You know the twin towers! Isn't that funny?"

*Silence*
