Kenny Got Lucky In Kentucky

Saw Mr. Kenny Chesney last night at Rupp and it was quite good. We missed the first opening act Dierks Bentley but I really wasn't all that concerned. Keith Urban was quite tasty. He sang all of my favorites of his and I was very satisfied. He did a kick ass version of "Raining On Sunday" which is tied with "You'll Think Of Me" as my favorite song of his.

At first I had planned to go see Kenny again at Riverbend this summer but I think I'll opt out. I've seen him twice and unfortunately he's at a point where he has so many songs that he just sticks with the standards and doesn't really venture out and mess around with the set list much. Other than the hit songs from the new album he didn't play anything really different from last year that I remember which was a disappointment. He also almost never plays his raw emotion songs anymore. I REALLY wanted to hear "I Remember" last year. That song gets me every freakin' time and I love it so much. I just don't see the point in spending that much money to be disappointed.
